how to use the services

to help the visually-impaired with access to information, sendai mediatheque provides services for transcribing normally-printed materials into Braille and sound free of charge.
these services will be offered on request. normally-printed materials can be made into books in Braille and/or recorded tapes. they can be stored on floppy disks in text format. the text can also be made into books in Braille.
please bring pamphlets, instruction manuals for home electrical appliances, magazines, books and any others you wish. we are ready to meet your requests as quickly as possible (leave with us books that require time to process for later).
