"to the unknown"refers to the hidden places that exist within ones imagination. These hidden places can offer insight, adventure, a sence of peace etc… but they can also inspire fear. In our imagination we can never be sure of the destination but the voyage is always worthwhile. TECHNIQUE:Most of my paintings include computerenhanced copies of my photographs(printed on washi)The photograph is pasterd onto a wooden panel,after that watercolor paints and oil pasterls are added. After that, several layers of gesso are applied for foudation and texture. Many layers of oil paint are then applied and scraped back using various palette knives and brushes,this gives the painting texture and depth. Finaly a glaze of beeswax and dammar resin is applied.
