Not so long ago when people used to listen to music on records, portable record players were the devices well used in many rooms.
"Without Records" is an installation made of sound emitted by portable record players on which records literally are not placed. It is the work of Otomo Yoshihide, a musician who has been working on the possibility of music and sound. Please experience how resonance is caused by the strength of the open square on the first floor of sendai mediatheque and the humble sounds emitted by the players from various periods and designs.
