「retake−とらえなおされる日常−」は、さまざまな手法を通して、私たちをとりまく日常から隠されている真実や意識していない空間を感じとってもらう試みです。 現在、私たちが暮らす世界には、いくつかの日常があるといえます。たとえば、テレビやインターネットを通じて触れている、世界の政治や経済の動向といったとても大きな日常、自分の体の調子や気分など「私」自身の身体に属している日常、そして、仕事場や学校に通ったり、買い物をしたりする街、あるいは、街を構成するさまざまな場所や機能−カフェや図書館やストリートなど−の日常です。 このプロジェクトでは、これらのなかで最も何気なく過ごしてしまう三つ目の日常をとりあげます。自分が過ごしている場所と、そこにいる自分自身について、新たな視点で眺めてみること、さらに一歩進んで、独自の方法で再構築してみることは、常に新鮮な驚きをもたらし、日常のなかで鋭敏な意識を持つきっかけにもなるでしょう。「retake−とらえなおされる日常−」は、美術や映画や調査といった手法により日常の社会空間をとらえなおす装置として機能します。 　独創的な感覚で日常世界から作品を紡ぎ出すアーティストや、膨大なフィルムから真実を編集する映画作家や、現実に隠れた意味を取り出す研究家たちの手、そして、ここを訪れる人々のアクティビティを通して、通俗的な「新しさ」の脅迫におびえることなく、日常をとらえなおす行為から立ち現れる「新しさ」を発信することができれば幸いです。

retake is a new recognition of living. It provides the opportunity to have a new understanding of ordinary life. Nowadays, we think that there is some kind of daily life. At first, there is the large daily life which indicates a trend of the world economics and politics that we get informed through medias such as television or Internet. Then, you have the situation that belongs to feeling or physical condition. And last, you have the common place where we spend everyday life such as Cafes, schools, offices and its function. This project presents third patterns of three daily life. It might be done unconsciously, however, once it is recognize, it is time to start to see ordinary life differently from another point of view. Such action will bring new realization and discovery. 　This exhibition is the place of acquisition of knowledge by the means of art, films and research. Furthermore, there are open interim report coming from university research and made by teams who carried out examination between the city and the community. This new recognition about the living can be found by participating to this project. It will restore a sense of value as well.
