This is the first large-scale exhibition introducing the works of "hyslom" in Japan. Hyslom cosists of three members: Kato Itaru, Hoshino Fuminori, and Yoshida Yuu, and they have continued to perform actions by their own bodies, called "Field Play". It seems that their "Field Play" performed outdoors tries to find the point of contact between the land and body. Or, it seems to find an unknown void that does not belong to anything in this largely owned and controlled society. This hyslom's activity deconstructs the image of modern people that we define, and presents temporary human existence in the positive attitude.
In this time hyslom will make us overview their activities of about ten years from various recordings such as images and objects, and present the whole space as one work. So, it is a huge archive of hyslom that is exhibited in the gallery space of 1000 m², a one-time installation created by dialogue with the concept and space of Sendai Mediatheque.
Through hyslom's activity, this exhibition will provide an opportunity to consider the form of an exhibition for the next era, while looking back on the Heisei period which ends soon.
